DES MOINES, Iowa – Lottery players have another chance to win big next week, as there were no grand prize winners for the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots in their most recent draws.
The Powerball jackpot grew to around $ 730 million after no one hit the five numbers and the red ball in the draw on Saturday night. If a lottery player wins big in the next Powerball draw on Wednesday, it will be the fifth biggest jackpot ever in the United States.
The winning numbers were 67, 20, 65, 14, 39 and the Powerball was 02.
No one beat the odds in Friday’s Mega Millions draw, so the jackpot grew to around $ 850 million. This would be the third biggest jackpot ever if there is a winner with the main prize of the draw on Tuesday.
It has been almost two years since a lottery prize has grown so much. No one has won the top prize in either game in months.
The listed jackpot values refer to the winners who choose an annuity, paid over 30 years. Winners often choose cash prizes, which for Powerball would be $ 546 million. The estimated cash prize for the next Mega Millions jackpot is $ 628.2 million.
Mega Millions and Powerball are played in 45 states, as well as in Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball is also offered in Puerto Rico.
