Development ended in Bleeding Edge, less than a year after the launch of the multiplayer melee fighter on Windows PC and Xbox One.
Developer Ninja Theory announced the end on Thursday, noting that Bleeding Edge remains active and playable. It just never attracted much public. SteamCharts counted the number of PC game players at an average of 480 in its March 2020 release month, and has since declined.
With the studio now focusing on our new projects (Senua’s Saga, Project Mara and The Insight Project), we have decided that there will be no more content updates for Bleeding Edge. The game can still be played on Xbox and PC. Thank you to the fans and keep coming together and causing chaos!

Bleeding Edge was announced at E3 2019. The game featured teams of four players, drawn from a list of 13 bizarre characters, fighting with stylish melee and ranged weapons. It was the first Xbox One game developed by Ninja Theory after Microsoft acquired the studio in 2018.
The Ninja Theory now turns its full attention to Senua saga: Hellblade two, the sequel to the 2017 award-winning Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Senua saga was announced at the 2019 Game Awards; does not yet have a release date, but will be released on the Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
