The next Warzone patch will nerf DMR

It won’t be long before the DMR’s reign of terror comes to an end in Call Of Duty: Warzone. Raven Software announced on Twitter that the next weapon balance update is “coming soon” with the powerful rifle being hit by the nerf hammer, alongside three other weapons that have been causing too much pain lately: the Type 63 rifle, Mac -10 SMG and double Diamatti pistols.

Since all Cold War Call Of Duty: Black Ops weapons were folded for Warzone in December, it didn’t take long for players to realize that the DMR tactical rifle was above the rest. I tried it myself, and my word is something. You would think that a semi-automatic weapon would be at a disadvantage, but no, pull the trigger fast enough and you will kill someone frighteningly fast. And with little indentation and high accuracy to boot, it’s no wonder that players are massing.

The Type 63 is basically the crudest counterpart of the DMR; not so good, but still very strong. Then there’s the Mac-10, a rectangle that destroys – just patchwork within walking distance. Not to mention the Diamatti double pistols. They are explosive firearms that require you to aim vaguely at your opponent, click your mouse quickly and bam, that’s a tango down.

It is important to note that these balance changes are exclusive to Warzone, so these weapons will not be nerfed for Cold War multiplayer modes. A strong decision in my books, as they look good to me in regular multiplayer mode and it seems a little overblown to confuse your stats on the board.

More than 30 weapons were placed in Cold War Warzone, so balance problems were almost inevitable, as Cold War weapon statistics differ from Warzone and Modern Warfare offerings. Honestly, I am surprised that more weapons have not been revealed to be completely broken, who knows what will dominate the next goal.
