Take a look at the Sony Xperia 1 III premium
As the latest model, Sony’s Xperia 1 III is aimed at advanced users, so it continues to include a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot. To ensure the best audio experience, Sony has kept the front dual speakers as well, which leaves the bottom of the house for the USB-C port.
Sony is not holding on to the camera department
The exact specifications are not available at the moment, but the new zoom camera must offer at least 5x optical zoom, although 10x cannot be discarded, and will be next to a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor, the main camera, and which is probably an ultra-wide sniper.
As was the case last year, the entire camera system was developed in partnership with ZEISS and has a ZEISS T coating.
With regard to the selfies department, there is a single sensor in the top frame. Its specifications have not been revealed.
The Xperia 1 III must be powered by the Snapdragon 888
At the heart of the Sony Xperia 1 III should be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888. The latter is also used in the US Galaxy S21 models and means that the next flagship of the Xperia will be one of the fastest phones on the market.
As Hemmerstoffer corroborated itself, the Xperia 1 III offers 5G network support as standard, as well as the previous generation model. The most efficient modem means that the related battery consumption must be less noticeable.
RAM and storage are a bit of a mystery, but you can make a well-founded assumption. Sony’s Xperia 1 II was released with an 8/256 GB configuration last year, so the same could be found on model 2021 cards. If the more expensive variants are in development, it will still be seen.
Sony Xperia 1 III announcement, release date, price
The Sony Xperia 1 III is expected to be announced later this quarter, potentially in late February or March. A launch date soon after would be ideal, but Sony tends to launch its flagship Xperia 1 at the end of the second quarter. If that is the case in 2021, expect the Xperia 1 III to be released in June.
The price is more of an assumption at this stage, although the Xperia 1 II was sold at $ 1,199 last year and it would not be surprising to see Sony position the Xperia 1 III in a similar way, considering its focus on a niche segment rather than the main market.
