Very, very soon, 2020 will end. Did it take forever to get here or did the year fly by for you? We have commissioned a series of year-end stories that address what has happened in technology in the past 12 months, how we are on the verge of a processor revolution, how Twitch maintained its streaming crown, as well as our favorite 2020 games and devices.

11th generation Intel Core notebook processors, developed based on Intel's 10 nm SuperFin process, feature the new Willow Cove architecture, which includes new optimization and CPU and GPU features, greater AI acceleration, faster connectivity and much more.  They were presented on September 2, 2020.

Tomorrow will be January 1, 2021 and we will be shifting seasonal holiday gears to preparing for CES, struggling with the Las Vegas show as it just goes online.

She sued Corellium for offering security researchers access to a ‘virtual iPhone’.

Last year, Apple sued security startup Corellium, accusing it of violating copyright law with its “virtual” iPhones that can help researchers find bugs in iOS products. Now, a federal judge in Florida has dismissed Apple’s copyright claim, giving Corellium a major victory in its legal battle against the tech giant.

The software gives security experts deeper access to iOS, even without a physical iPhone installed with special software. Apple said Corellium was selling its product indiscriminately, compromising the platform’s security.

Just one of many transparent OLED demonstrations planned for CES.

Transparent OLED

The Korean company is preparing some physical demos for its CES 2021 online showroom, with the most interesting (so far) being a restaurant scene with a 55-inch transparent OLED screen in the sushi bar.

Diners can browse the menu or watch videos on the big screen, while watching chefs prepare the food behind this futuristic hygienic partition, thanks to its 40% transparency. In comparison, a transparent LCD offers only 10 percent transparency, according to LG Display.
