NVIDIA has set a release date for the GeForce RTX 3060, but the wait will not be the biggest challenge. The $ 329 mid-range GPU, the first at this price to offer radius tracking, will be available on February 25 at 12pm ET. You won’t be able to choose a Founders Edition this time, however, and will have to settle for a third-party video card. Although some Reddit users managed to catch the GPU when it inadvertently appeared on store shelves in Europe and Asia, the challenge will be to find the RTX 3060 in stock. NVIDIA has been dealing with the GPU shortage for months, due to increased cryptocurrency mining and limited demand.

So he went back to selling old cards, just to have something available. The company is relaunching older GPUs, including the GTX 1050 Ti and RTX 2060 for its partners, but stressed that both cards were technically not at the end of their useful life, “so ‘reviving’ seems like the wrong terminology to use here” , he said. It is clear.

What if you want a more up-to-date GPU? Production is not expected to improve until the end of April. In another part of the technology, we have the latest rumors about the iPhone, a new Chevy Bolt and car makers who are not afraid of Apple.

According AppleInsider, known Max Weinbach pourer and EverythingApplePro shared a flood of next-generation iPhone leaks, focusing on an always-on screen. Allegedly, a battery-efficient 120 Hz screen will mimic your iPhone’s current lock screen to some extent, and provide a handful of information without any input, much like what you see on some Android devices, usually if they have an OLED screen. Only the battery and the clock would be visible consistently, but a “bar and icons” would show your notifications. Other points suggest an iterative update with enhanced cameras, a more powerful MagSafe connection between the phone and accessories, and perhaps a more attractive matte-effect Pro phone. DJI didn’t even announce a first-person cinematic drone, but regardless, Dominion Drones briefly shared a video (reposted by SpiderMonkey FPV) of the FPV Combo, which brings together a high-speed drone (rumored to reach a top speed of 93 MPH), glasses first-person view (lighter than before) and a controller that, well, wouldn’t look out of place connected to a game console.

Dominion did not pilot the drone to test its maximum speed of 93 MPH. However, the clip shows the first-person camera at the top, as well as additional forward and downward sensors that are likely to help avoid obstacles. The new controller has sculpted cuffs, while the new racing goggles are apparently lighter than those of its predecessors. It looks like the new drone was built for racing. Keep reading.

The Chevy’s redesign for 2022 is not just an update of the features and capabilities of the Bolt EV, but includes a new SUV-sized variant, dubbed the Bolt EUV. Under the hood, the 2022 Bolt EV and EUV are functionally similar. They use the same 65 W, 288 cell lithium-ion battery pack and identical 200 HP (150 kW) single front electric motor. The differences come from the form factor. The Bolt EUV offers its passengers a longer wheelbase, more head space and greater travel height. It is also the first Chevy vehicle to offer the Super Cruise’s hands-free driver assistance feature, allowing hands-free driving along some 320,000 kilometers of mapped roads in North America. Whether that view is maintained or not is another story.

If Apple goes ahead with an electric car, Volkswagen is not worried about that. According Reuters, VW chief Herbert Diess said Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung that his company “was not afraid” of an Apple car. The auto industry is not a technology sector that you can “take over with a single stroke,” said the CEO. He’s probably right, but let’s remember the lessons learned by Palm … Keep reading.
