The next day – Engadget

When are things getting back to normal? When are we going back to school, the office, going on vacation or making travel and hotel reservations for E3? Those important questions. The world’s largest gaming program, which had to be canceled last year, continues to squirm and reinvent itself, and its organizers say it will be back in 2021 – probably as a fully digital event.

Engadget has already covered at least one all-digital trade show, CES, but reporting the latest gaming news seems more feasible than trying to evaluate TVs, gadgets and startups hundreds (or thousands) of miles away. In addition to what we saw last year – many YouTube-based trailers and gameplay videos, even without an official E3 2020 – with the ability to stream and play new games remotely, future E3s can offer the same type of insight into new ones releases that you would get a standard show.

If companies want us to play, that is.

Smart weber gas grill

This is definitely not the season for this, but Weber is making its gas grills more modern. He said he never violated Google’s rules and that the company refused to clarify the situation. And so, Spinks canceled the Google Stadia edition of Terraria, a beloved independent game from 2011 with an audience of over 30 million players. Take a closer look at what happened.

They tested their method on ‘state-of-the-art deepfake detectors’.

UC San Diego

Research on the detection of deepfake videos continued at a pace in an attempt to limit the spread of incorrect information. Deepfake detectors, however, can still be tricked, warned a group of computer scientists at UC San Diego. The scientists used “opposing examples” (manipulated images that can cause AI systems to make a mistake) inserted into each video frame, which could mislead “state-of-the-art deepfake detectors”.

So, how can we improve these detectors so that they cannot be deceived? Scientists recommend using opponent training, in which an adaptive opponent continues to generate deepfakes that can bypass the detector while it is still being trained.
