The next day – Engadget

Normally, a company reporting news on a Friday night is a bad sign, but Microsoft has taken the other route. After starting on Friday awkwardly announcing the revised Xbox Live Gold price that would double the cost of new Xbox accounts to access multiplayer, he stepped back. Admitting that “we made a mistake today and you were right to let us know,” the company announced that not only will the price not change, but it is also working to enable free multiplayer for free games like Fifteen days and Apex Legends and your next title Halo Infinite.

Xbox Series X

There is no information on how long it will take for the free part of the ad to activate, but since this is already free on PlayStation Network, it cannot be released anytime soon. Even with the Game Pass, asking $ 120 annually for new players would have made the Xbox by far a second-class multiplayer experience for new customers and existing customers.

It’s good that Microsoft reconsidered the move (after sending $ 60 6-month Xbox Live cards that now look like collector’s items), but if it really wanted to turn the tide in the console war, then the free multiplayer for everyone would be a better choice. Hey, they seem to be open to suggestions, so why not ask?
