The next day – Engadget

The verdict is for Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series. We have two separate reviews for you today, one on the Ultra premium variant and one for the standard S21 – which should also tell you what to expect from the S21 + model.

Don’t expect big surprises. Samsung seems to have accepted criticism of last year’s S20, and the result is less software tricks and a lower price. With the S21 Ultra, you have an incomprehensible range of camera options (including the return of the contentious Space Zoom feature), while the smaller and cheaper S21 gets the same top-of-the-line processor from the larger phones and most features and capabilities.

‘Bloomberg’ reports that the current prototype is also made of fabric.

The latest report on Apple’s VR and AR plans suggests that the company is still working on a headset that has external cameras and a fabric shell. The device will apparently run on a custom operating system, currently codenamed “rOS”, and will have its own special App Store. The company is struggling to cool the device, with the addition of a fan that leads to heavier headphones that were not suitable for prolonged use.

Apple is also working on its own AR glasses, which are still in development – and probably years away.

A capable but expensive flagship.

Galaxy S21 Ultra

Starting at $ 1,200, Samsung’s Galaxy 21 Ultra may not bring many dramatic updates, but it is a polished powerhouse that is remarkably competent on all fronts. According to Engadget’s mobile editor, Chris Velasco, that doesn’t mean it’s perfect – some of its features are not as useful immediately as we expected, and the loss of expandable storage can be an obstacle for some advanced users. The price and size of the Ultra may still put it out of reach for some, but if you can justify the cost – or don’t mind waiting for a deal – the good far outweighs the bad.

The best Android phone for the money.

Galaxy S21

Welcome to a world where less is more. The $ 800 Galaxy S21 is the base model for Samsung’s new trio of flagships and offers an intriguing combination of features for the price. You’ll get the same first-rate processor and 120 Hz refresh rate, but at a lower resolution, obviously, on a smaller screen.

It has a camera less than the S21 Ultra and with less sharp sensors, but according to analysis editor Cherlynn Low, it still offers a versatile imaging system. In addition, it has a brand new look and a long battery life. For the money, you will have a hard time finding a better Android flagship.

It can be released after new versions of the MacBook Pro.

MacBook Air

Today, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman provided some more details about the upcoming aerial update. The publication informs that it will be thinner and lighter, will have a state-of-the-art M1 processor and will use the same MagSafe charging system for the next MacBook Pro update. The company is also planning a project with smaller screen frames, which would reduce even more the already portable format.
