343 Industries reveals a selection of new screenshots for Halo Infinite, giving fans an idea of what the redesigned game will look like.
343 Industries showed a handful of new screenshots and concept art for Halo Infinite, and is very promising in the graphics department after the disappointment and reaction of previous fans. The highly anticipated game was originally created to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X / S, but was postponed from November 2020 to the fall of 2021 after the reveal trailer received a lot of negative feedback. Microsoft says the game was delayed to allow the developer time to make the game from scratch and ensure it met high quality standards.
To help ensure that Halo Infinite launching in time and living up to its predecessors this year, 343 Industries would have enlisted the help of one of the other Microsoft studios. According to a source, The Coalition helped the areola developer, with several employees in the Gears of war studio list work that they completed in both Gears 5 and Halo: Infinity. However, it is not clear exactly what assistance the Coalition provided or what impacts these developers had on the eventual finished product.

In a new Halo Waypoint post, 343 Industries provided an update on the state of Halo Infinite and showed some new screenshots of the engine. The images themselves come from an ongoing construction of the PC game, but they look very impressive. In fact, these new screenshots look almost like a new game compared to what fans saw last year during the official presentation. Most of the images included in the post, some of which have been incorporated below, give an idea of how more Halo InfiniteThe Zeta Halo setup looks and works, as it will feature a “time of day“lighting system that will give different areas vastly different moods depending on when players visit each location. The campaign game screenshot showing the iteration of the iconic sniper rifle game, however, speaks for itself.
In another recent Halo Infinite news, 343 Industries apparently sparked some elements of the next game’s story. The fans noticed an audio file that provokes the fact that Cortana will be the main villain of the sequence. This suggests that the game is a direct sequence of events from Halo 5: Guardians, rather than a complete reboot, as some have indicated in the past.
Seeing the latest Halo Infinite screenshots is certainly reassuring to fans who have been worried since they last saw the title last year, during their ill-fated revelation. The quality of these images appears to be much higher than the previous images, demonstrating that 343 Industries has been working hard to improve the look of the game.
Halo Infinite will be available for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC in the fall of 2021.
