Corona (California) Centenary defensive lineman Korey Foreman has just announced its commitment to the USC.
It was a quick recruitment that gave a complete turn to the best player in the country in 247Sports Composite.
USC was the school and the team of the first dreams to be overcome when we first talked to Foreman after his first year. Foreman ended up committing to Clemson in February of his freshman year and, after stepping back, looked like a poor man from Georgia and LSU.
The state of Arizona also had a good run, but in the end, Foreman decided to stay home and be a Trojan.
“USC has always made me feel at home,” said Foreman. “I grew up here and I know everything about this place and the school. At the end of the day, these are my roots and I have a very strong level of comfort with everyone at USC. “
Foreman said that watching USC on the field this year played an important role in his decision.
“The biggest selling point for me with USC was the improvement I saw in them this year over the previous year, ”said Foreman. “You can say that the new team is making an impact and that they are on the right track.
“They may not always have won every game beautifully, but the reality is that they have won many games and that is important. I think you can see how the team came together and with our class coming, I think we can take the program back to where it belongs. “
One thing we always said about Foreman was that development would be a big part of his decision. It is no secret that the ideal way for Foreman would be to play three years before going to the NFL, so finding a school that could prepare you and make you better would be the winner.
“I think the improvement in the defensive line was huge,” said Foreman. “I’m seeing guys coming out of nowhere, guys who were under the radar and are now NFL prospects. I think the mindset of the whole team now is to be great and that is something important to me.
“Of course I have been watching Drake (Jackson) closely for the past two years and he is doing well. He is great and this is my guy. I loved playing with him in my second year, we were very successful playing one against another and I can’t wait to play with him again. “
The USC technical team was also relentless in pursuing Foreman.
“I’m very close to the whole team there,” said Foreman. “Donte Williams is my guy and the one I’m closest to, but you have Coach Vic (So’oto) who is great and clear Clay Helton been with me since the first day.
“I talk to these guys daily and they are recruiting me a lot. They made me a high priority, even when I was committed to Clemson. I could see that they didn’t want the best player in the country to leave at home and they did a great job with me all year. “
Foreman actually signed with the Trojans during the Early Subscription Period, before going public this morning. He originally planned to graduate early, but will end his spring semester and enroll at USC in the fall.
