Motorola’s Moto G line has been rising in price and features for some time, and last year the company tried something different. Moto launched two G phones in the United States (and in some other regions), the G Power and the G Stylus. The latter was equipped with a passive stylus, making it a competitor to the LG Stylo series, and now Motorola is working on an oversized sequence.

Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks, released rendered images of the 2021 Moto G Stylus. The phone should have a huge 6.8-inch flat panel, with a chassis approximately 169.6 mm high, 73.7 mm wide and 8.8 mm deep (10.9 mm with the raised camera) . If so, the new Moto G Stylus will be among the largest conventional smartphones available today. The phone is almost the same size as the OnePlus 8 Pro (165.3 x 74.4 x 8.5 mm) and Galaxy Note20 Ultra (164.8 x 77.2 x 8.1 mm).

In addition to having the shape and size of a literal brick, the Moto G Stylus must also have a pierced selfie camera, square rear cameras (probably 48 MP main, 8 MP ultra-wide, 5 MP macro and 2 MP deep) and a rear or side fingerprint sensor. The stylus with the same name can be found at the bottom, although it will probably remain a passive stylus, not an active stylus like in Samsung’s Note series. Speaking of Note series differences, there is still a headphone jack. 🔥

It is not yet clear when Motorola plans to officially unveil the new Moto G Stylus. The original models were unveiled in February 2020.

More renderings

Nils Ahrensmeier published more images of the Moto G Stylus, this time in black. The phone must have the model number XT2115-1 in the United States and is being developed under the code name ‘Minsk’.
