Apex Legends most powerful character, or at least one of your most OP characters, is being nerfed, and nerfed soon. How do we know? Because Respawn Entertainment confirmed this. In any competitive game based on character or hero, there are inevitably characters that are more viable and useful than others. In the current goal, most players would agree that Wraith and Caustic are the two most annoying characters to face. Unfortunately for those who care for the latter, the big guy is being nerfed.
Caustic has been a controversial character since season 7. Before Season 7, Caustic was really far from being a meta-topping character, however, a series of buffs changed that, and although it has been tweaked since, it hasn’t been enough according to some players.
In the past few weeks, complaints about the caustic have gotten higher and higher. And recently one of these complaints caught the eye of a Reddit developer. Responding to a player pointing out community calls to the nerf Caustic and how the character conflicts with the game’s philosophy, John Larson, a game designer, confirmed that a nerf is in development and coming soon.
“I think that since the switch to gas allowed teammates to play with gas without repercussions, there was a lot of unrealized potential that has been quickly tapped in recent months,” said Larson talking about the character. “The caustic is undeniably strong and has the highest win rate in matches that last more than 20 minutes. The caustic plays a unique role as a defensive legend who can act offensively in certain scenarios, and we have to make sure we adjust it accordingly. way that removes frustration without harming the feeling of playing like Caustic. “
Larson continued:
“Summarizing the story, we heard feedback from the community, as a player, I think it is valid, the data shows that he is strong and that he will receive some attention in the near future.
