The most interesting EVs of 2021: Tesla Cybertruck, Hummer, Rivian, Lucid

2021 is going to be a great year for electric vehicles. Edmunds’ car buying experts expect US sales to grow from 1.9% to 2.5% in 2020. This is thanks to more options and the growing interest of interested consumers.

Almost three dozen EVs from 21 automotive brands are expected to go on sale this year, compared with 17 vehicles from 12 brands in 2020. Notably, this will be the first year in which all three major vehicle categories will be represented: there will be 11 electric sedans, 13 SUVs and six pickups in 2021, while only 10 cars and seven SUVs were available last year.

We plan to focus on seven different EVs that will be launched this year and talk about what they tell us about where things are going in the future – for the auto industry, for the climate and for all of us who need to turn around. After all, that would not be a Border video if we weren’t talking about the future.
