The Medium, a game released a few days ago and also released on the Xbox Game Pass, has already managed to cover its production and marketing costs. Future sales will be profitable for the Polish developer Bloober Team, who knows bizarre and terrifying horror experiences.

Shared in the Polish publication Money.pl, Bloober Team said that sales of the game have already exceeded what it cost the studio to develop and promote the game, which is available on the Xbox Series X | S and PC.

It is also available on Xbox Game Pass for platforms, but unlike many other Game Pass titles, it is not on Xbox One. This makes your profitability even more impressive, since the Xbox Series X | S has only a fraction of the older console’s installed base. It is not clear how the Game Pass was counted in the sales figures or whether it was able to generate a profit even before counting it. The Game Pass was extremely popular with Xbox users, and with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, they don’t need a separate Xbox Live Gold Subscription. Original games, such as Gears Tactics and the upcoming Halo Infinite, will be released on the service the same day they will be released in stores.

Medium uses a unique game hook, with a split-screen view that allows you to see more than one kingdom at the same time, which is useful for solving puzzles and probably scaring your pants. Bloober has perfected his art in recent years with horror games like Blair Witch and Layers of Fear 2, but this is undoubtedly the highest profile game so far.
