The media raves about the Iowa State Fiesta Bowl victory

If there were still doubts about what Matt Campbell is able to perform as head coach of college football, his team’s victory over 25th place in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl quickly ended any of those concerns. Campbell has already proven his worth and completed one of the best seasons in the school’s history.

A game after losing the championship shot, Iowa defeated Oregon 34-17 to claim the Fiesta Bowl title. The Cyclones came straight out of the gates and did exactly what is known. Iowa State scored in a drive of 15 games to open the game and then another stroke of 14 games, eating much of the clock. In all, the state of Iowa held the ball for 42:48.

With the victory, the state of Iowa officially held one of the best seasons in the school’s history. After a loss to Louisiana, the state of Iowa achieved an 8-1 mark in the big 12 game, winning a spot in the big 12 title game. The Cyclones almost managed to win, too, but they almost beat Oklahoma for the second time, losing 27-21. Still, it was an impressive year for the Cyclones.
