Following the impressive revelation of Caco, the Frog and Caitlyn Jenner, yesterday (March 24) episode of The masked singer finally revealed Raccoon’s celebrity identity.
After an interesting interpretation of Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire’, Raccoon was eliminated from the competition, leaving Russian Dolls, Robopine, Seashell and competitor Wildcard Orca to perform for another day.

Not before a fake strip tease, Raccoon finally took off his mask, revealing himself as the cult film Danny Trejo.
Trejo – who also appeared in Breaking Bad and as Rosa Diaz’s father in Brooklyn Nine-Nine – said Weekly entertainment that his time The masked singer it had been “the cutest thing in the world”.

“I never did anything like that,” he admitted. “I’m definitely not a singer. I can’t sing a melody in a bucket. But when I saw the costume, I have a Schnauzer puppy named John Wesley Harding, who looks exactly like that raccoon. Same color, same eyes.
“So I have to do this, you know. Everyone thought I was being a raccoon, but in fact I was being John Wesley Harding, my Schnauzer.”

Opening up about how he felt playing Raccoon, Danny Trejo said he felt “free” to “just play a Raccoon”, instead of maintaining his image of being a “tough” guy.
“It’s funny, but it doesn’t matter who you are – it’s like my screen image is tough, bad, no one to mess with,” he said. “But when you’re in that costume, it’s like none of this is you. A tough raccoon wouldn’t look good. So you’re free, and I could just play a raccoon.”
The masked singer USA airs on Fox, while its UK equivalent airs on ITV.
