The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda could have killed him as a 90s TV sitcom.

Disney Plus

The Mandalorian streaming on Disney Plus is already considered a hit among Star Wars fans. But what if this smart science fiction series was reinvented as a 1990s TV sitcom, like the Growing Pains program?

Here’s: Grogu Pains, a video parody. The creative folks at Nerdist made a video, posted on Youtube on Tuesday, that shows all the Mandalorian characters – including Baby Yoda now known as Grogu – as if they were stars in a retro sitcom.

The parody video not only features the main characters Mandalorian / Din Djarin and Baby Yoda / Grogu, but also Cara Dune, Greef Karga, Bo-Katan Kryze, Fennec Shand and more in moments of the show’s action and comedy.

The parody video is also styled as a TV series intro complete with a catchy and jazzy theme song. It even ends with a classic retro image of The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda smiling at each other. Perfect!

If you want to see more of the Mandalorian series reinvented with a classic TV twist, be sure to check out this previous parody by turning the first season of the Star Wars series into a kitschy 80s sitcom.
