The main features of the WWE network are not supposed to be available on Peacock

As noted earlier this week, WWE and Peacock announced that WWE Network content will begin launching on the Peacock platform on Thursday, March 18. The entire WWE content library will not be available at that time, but they promise that all WWE content will be available for viewing on demand in time for SummerSlam in late August.

This means that fans in the United States will have to wait several months before they can see much of the WWE library. This confirmation of the release of the content was a disappointment for many regular viewers of the WWE Network. Another potential disappointment is that WWE and Peacock are doing away with phosphorus markers.

On-demand pay-per-view events and programs will no longer be divided with “bookmarks” to separate them into several different segments that are easy to skip, according to The Verge.

With match markers disappearing, each event will now be just a long stream. Peacock told The Verge that they are working on “visual scrub bar visualizations” to help viewers find what they want when advancing WWE videos.

The search feature of the WWE Network on Peacock will also change for users in the United States after March 18. It has been noted that the search feature will not be as robust as it is now in the standalone application of the WWE Network.

Regarding the search feature, viewers can currently search for a specific match or WWE Superstar right there in the search bar. This will not be a feature in Peacock, at least initially. It was noted that this is something that fans can expect to improve in the coming months, but even so it may not fully correspond to what is possible now.

Peacock told The Verge that there will be more work to be done to satisfy the WWE Network’s diehards.
