The Los Angeles pilot finally captures the elusive ‘jetpack man’ on video

The unidentified flying man in Los Angeles was finally captured on video – flying 3,000 feet above Palos Verdes, near Catalina Island, with a jetpack.

The mysterious aeronaut has been spotted at least twice before, in summer and fall, but now a video is posted on the Instagram account of the Sling Pilot Academy, a local aviation school.

The video, which the school said one of its flight instructors recorded on Monday, appears to show a lone man sailing through the sky above the waters off the California coast.

FBI INVESTIGATING ‘GUY IN JETPACK’ REPORT FLYING NEAR LAX

Although the figure looks like a person in some kind of suit, the school said it was not 100% sure that the passenger was indeed the mysterious intruder in the sky.

“The video appears to show a jet pack, but it could also be a drone or some other object,” admitted the school. “If you’re a ‘guy in a jet pack’, you have to know if it’s a legal test flight (the backpacks are real – there’s a manufacturer near Los Angeles) or related to the jet pack sightings near LAX that recently caused air traffic disruptions. “

ANOTHER JETPACK REPORTED FLIGHT NEAR LAX

Local police, the FBI and the Federal Aviation Administration announced an investigation in early September, following the location in August of a suspected jetpack traveler 3,000 feet off the ground near Los Angeles International Airport. Two crews from different airlines reported sightings, but there were no videos at the time.

Another crew reported a sighting in mid-October, this time at 6,000 feet.
