The plans were originally announced in 2016
Many people have probably already forgotten, but in December 2018, it was announced by the Forever Entertainment studio that both Panzer Dragoon and the sequel, Zwei, would be getting complete remakes. That last part was lost in the shuffle, since we haven’t seen or heard anything about the project since.
Fortunately, the outfit changed that last week through an ad on Twitter. Clear as day, Panzer Dragoon Zwei remake is scheduled to launch “this year” in 2021. It is still vague, but at least we know that work is in progress and is coming.
Although the original Panzer Dragoon remake started rough, the team laboriously mended until it was in a better state. With the prospect that they now have, it stands to reason that Zwei will be in better shape.
It would be up to them to do their best in this too, to avoid a blow to their reputation.
