The leak of the new Galaxy Smart Tag overturns the design of the object and resource tracker

It is no secret that Samsung has been working on a smart object tracker similar to Tile. The company’s next device could be launched as early as next month, and its colors, features and prices have already leaked. A new leak has emerged and shows a clearer design of the Galaxy Smart Tag.

A GIF tutorial extracted from the recently released version of the SmartThings Find application shows the Galaxy Smart Tag in two colors: Black and White (oats). The rounded square device has a circular button in the middle and a rope hole in the corner. The button can be pressed to locate a connected smartphone, while the internal bell can be activated on the smartphone to locate the object tracker and the object it is connected to.

The Galaxy Smart Tag features Bluetooth 5.1 (with LE) and is compatible with SmartThings Find. It is rumored to cost just € 15 and is powered by a replaceable 3V CR2032 coin cell. Many expected it to have GPS or UWB. However, it does not appear that Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Smart Tag with these features, which may be due to battery or price restrictions. Even Apple is working on a similar device.
