The launch of the coronavirus vaccine continues throughout South Florida

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida. – The launch of the COVID-19 vaccine continues throughout South Florida as more injections were administered on Saturday.

Long lines of cars as people wait to be vaccinated today in Miami’s tropical park.

Across Miami-Dade County, access to the vaccine for people over 65 is expanding, but so is demand.

Baptist Health South Florida booked thousands of appointments moments after launching its online consultation portal and is now slamming on the brakes to schedule more.

At Hard Rock Stadium, there will be a limited amount for the next week, but many who attended without an appointment were turned down.

In Broward County, more lines and more waiting.

Elderly citizens in Lauderhill told Local 10 News to get their nominations that they had to browse sites that crashed and practice patience.

As in Miami-Dade, several drive-up locations are opening to the public in Broward, but supplies are limited.
