If you are the owner of the OnePlus 8T, you are undoubtedly familiar with the dumpster fire that was the OxygenOS 11.0.6.7 update released last week. Today’s update, which brings version number 11.0.6.8 for the Indian and North American markets and 11.0.6.9 for European markets, aims to correct the bugs introduced by this update.

In fact, this update has virtually the same change log as 11.0.6.7; is still in the November 2020 security patch. However, there is a new point, which says that the problem with the abnormal media player pause has been fixed. This was the biggest problem with 11.0.6.7 (and the 11.0.6.8 update of the subsequent EU market, which apparently didn’t fix anything). How the update has just been released, whether the problem has been fixed or not, is still unclear, with a commenter in the OnePlus Forums post saying that the video taken from his previous phone is still freezing. That said, there are only a handful of responses to the topic so far.

As usual with OnePlus updates, OTA is being implemented slowly, with a broader rollout over a few days. We hope this will enable OnePlus 8T owners to watch videos and listen to music correctly again.
