An advantage of complementary applications for truly wireless headsets is that they can send software updates that improve functionality. Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro, as we mentioned in our review, are a really excellent set of versatile headsets. They are now receiving a second update that improves some of their key features.

The update weighs more than 2 MB and should be available for download via the Galaxy Wearable app. The first thing that improves is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which was already quite effective, to begin with; as David said, “they could give some cheaper noise-canceling headphones a try.” The update also improves the ambient sound. However, it is not clear exactly how.

Voice detection, a new feature that Samsung introduced with Buds Pro, is also getting better with the new update. According to the changelog, the switching speed has been further improved. If you are not aware, this mode automatically recognizes when the user speaks and decreases the volume of everything they are hearing.

As mentioned earlier, this is the second post-release Buds Pro update. The first added a hearing enhancement feature, while also improving the stability and reliability of the system.
