Co-president of Naughty Dog and creative designer for The Last of Us Part II and Uncharted 4, Neil Druckmann revealed which established IPs he would like to make a game for.
Asked by Greg Miller of Kinda Funny Game, the question is purely hypothetical and should not be taken seriously as a tip on what Naughty Dog will do next.
That said, it’s still interesting to imagine what it would be like if Druckmann and the Naughty Dog team decided to make a game set in the Punisher universe.
The Punisher is really interesting. I just finished The Last of Us Part II alone and the violent gameplay seen in that title would certainly work well in a game set in the Punisher world.
This looks like it could really be plausible one day if Naughty Dog would one day have time and be allowed to work with IP.
We have entered the land of pure fantasy, albeit with some of the other choices, nonetheless. I’m salivating at the idea of Naughty Dog making a Hotline Miami game, but that will never happen and certainly not Half-Life.
That’s fine because, again, this is purely hypothetical. Don’t get carried away by a Cowboy Bebop game developed by Naughty Dog, please!
