The lack of Tristan Thompson at the last second should not have been called a vs. Bucks, by NBA

A foul on Tristan Thompson at the end of Wednesday’s season opening at TD Garden may have cost the Celtics the game.

And apparently, he shouldn’t have been called.

Boston won 122-120 when Thompson was cautioned for a lost ball foul, sending Giannis Antetokounmpo to the line with a chance to put things in overtime. But Antetokounmpo missed his last kick on the line, giving C his first win of the season in the process.

According to Thursday’s Last Two Minutes Report, however, Thompson and Antetokounmpo “both make a legal attempt to reach the entry pass, and the contact should have been considered accidental”.

So, how did this connection get confused?
