Remember that big leak from the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra? A similar leak happened with the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus, and he shared almost every detail you would like to know about the new phone.
The details below were provided by sources speaking to the German technology website WinFuture and there are also some other images of the devices that we have included a glimpse of.
Some of the details provided here were previously leaked by other sources as well, but it just helps to solidify the information as accurate. The leak also suggests that Samsung will launch its new phone series on January 14, but this has not yet been confirmed by Samsung.
As expected, if you are purchasing the Galaxy S21 or Galaxy S21 Plusn in the U.S., you will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset to power your phone and the Exynos 2100 will do the job in other locations around the world.
8 GB of RAM is integrated in both devices, but you will have the option of 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. This is a bit surprising here, but this leak also suggests that the phone will not come with support for microSD.
Android 11 is on the phone by default – although it is in the form of the company’s own One UI 3.1 software – and each device will come with a flat screen so there are no curves at the edges.
The camera technology will be the same on both devices as well, and the main sensor on each device will be a 12 MP f / 1.8 sniper. Each will also have an ultra-wide 12MP f / 2.2 camera with a 120 degree field of view and there will be a 64MP telephoto shooter with 3x hybrid optical zoom.
In front of each phone there will be a 10 MP selfie shooter. Each device will come ready for 5G connectivity, and there is still no sign of a 4G variant from any of the devices, so hopefully it will be the default connectivity options.
Samsung Galaxy S21 specific specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S21 will have a 6.2-inch Full HD + AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a camera stuck in the center of the screen, if that leak is correct.
It will have a 4,000mAh battery inside the phone and the color options will be gray, white, pink or purple. The dimensions of the device are expected to be 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9 mm with a weight of 171 grams.
In Europe, the device is configured to start at €849 (about $ 1.50, £ 780, AU $ 1,370) with 256 GB from €899 (about $ 1,100, £ 825, AU $ 1,450). That’s about € 50 cheaper than the 4G variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 costs, so it looks like the price of the standard device may be dropping compared to the 2020 phone.
What about the S21 Plus?
If you want a bigger phone, you’ll have a 6.7-inch Full HD + screen with a pierced selfie camera and 120Hz refresh rate.
The battery is configured to be larger as well to power this larger screen, and will have a 4,800 mAh cell. According to the leak, the device will have dimensions of 161.4 x 75.6 x 7.8 mm and weigh 202 grams.
It will also come in silver, black and purple, but these colors may vary depending on where you live. The Galaxy S21 Plus has a starting price of € 1,049 (about $ 1,300, £ 950, AU $ 1,700) with the 256GB costing € 1,099 (about $ 1,350, £ 1,000, AU $ 1,800).
We still haven’t heard accurate pricing information for the US, UK or Australia, although we hope to hear more about it from sources in the coming weeks.
All of this is leaked information, so take everything with a pinch of salt, but much of what we hear here corresponds to what we saw earlier and it looks like it has a great chance of being accurate.
With many rumors suggesting that January 14 is the big reveal, we hope to find out sooner or later, so keep an eye out for leaks on the Samsung Galaxy S21 and the official announcement.
