A Halo Infinite actor has released a November release date for the next game.
Last week on the podcast Fadam and Friends, which you can see below, actor Verlon Roberts came to talk about his career. Around the hour and 10 minute mark, the conversation turns to Halo Infinite, and Roberts comments that “it has now been postponed to November this year.”
We currently don’t have an official release date for Halo Infinite outside the fall 2021 window. Roberts’s comments appear to narrow the launch window until November, which is actually the month Halo Infinite was scheduled to launch, along with the new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, before being postponed.
Roberts claims to have access to this information because, as he reveals in the interview, he plays Spartan Griffin in Halo Infinite. The character, who originally appeared in the novel Shadows of Reach, was not really announced for the next game, so it looks like Roberts may have revealed a little more than he intended with those comments.
In another part of the interview, Roberts comments on what it’s like to have worked on Halo Infinite. The actor reveals that he provided narration and motion capture work for the sequel, complete with “staying in a large warehouse covered in stitches while using spandex” that this entails. Roberts also reveals that he did some motion capture scenes with the Master Chief actor, so we know that the protagonist and Spartan Griffin will share some scenes from the game.
Spartan Griffin is not the only character rumored to appear in Halo Infinite. Previously, the Referee actor caused the return of his character in the next sequence, so that we could have a kind of meeting between the two protagonists. We will have to wait a few more months to find out who is – and is not – coming back for sure.
