A rating for The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch has been identified.
Gematsu noted that the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee rated the unannounced game under its English title, suggesting that the localization in English is complete and the launch is not far off.
The existence of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles was leaked as part of Capcom’s significant data breach in November 2020. It must contain the Nintendo 3DS games The Great Ace Attorney (2015) and The Great Ace Attorney 2 (2017), which were only launched in Japan.
The Japanese launch trailer for The Great Ace Attorney (2015) is below:
The Great Ace Attorney games are a series of spin-offs set in the late 1800s (Japan’s Meiji period and Britain’s Victorian era). It stars Ryūnosuke Naruhodō, an English student at Teito Yūmei University and ancestor of the protagonist of the Ace Attorney series, Phoenix Wright. Ryūnosuke travels to England and meets Sherlock Holmes.
The Taiwan Digital Games Classification Committee is feeling particularly loose: Gematsu reports that it has a rating for a Nintendo Switch version of Tales from the Borderlands (this was recently announced as a PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One reissue only).
There is also mention of a native version of Genshin Impact for PlayStation 5, a Nintendo Switch version of Secret Neighbor, the asymmetric spin-off multiplayer of the horror game Hello Neighbor and a Nintendo Switch version of the 2020 SnowRunner off-road simulation.
