The Godstrike double-stick shooter launches on April 15 for Switch, PC

Godstrike

Double-stick shooter Godstrike will be released for Switch and PC via Steam on April 15 for $ 14.99, announced the publisher Freedom Games and developer OverPowered Team. It will support English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Japanese language options.

Here is an overview of the game, via Freedom Games:

Centuries after divine power is divided between seven mysterious masks, chaos reigns. Now inhabiting vessels called Heralds, these seven entities spend eternity fighting each other while the world decays around them. That is, all but one. Talaal, the forgotten seventh mask, and his new Herald Yissia are alone. Only together can they stop their brothers’ apocalyptic war.

Wear Talaal’s mask and duel against diabolical monstrosities in battles against multi-stage bosses at breakneck speed. Go with blazing weapons, snaking through the oncoming fire and unleashing a torrent of celestial skills to overcome opponents as quickly as possible. Time is of the essence, because in Godstrike as seconds are counted, so is our hero’s health bar.

Time is both life and currency. Talaal and Yissia lose valuable seconds needed to complete their mission with each hit they receive. Therefore, the pair must make calculated moves before each confrontation, shuffling between an ever-increasing stock of skills to help defend against their opponents’ strengths while taking advantage of weaknesses.

Every second counts in the fight against the Heralds, but running out of time is never the end. Advance in campaign mode, unlocking and skill-setting with each defeated Herald as Talaal’s tale unfolds. Experience more than 20 skills like Spark, a flashy move that makes the seventh mask immune to damage while inflicting damage on its own when in contact. Mix and match powers, experimenting with synergies and strategies, on the way to victory.

Use all the skills of the arsenal in Arcade mode or dare to face the celestial beasts in Challenge mode with random boss orders and mysterious blessings granted after each fight. Strive to become the champion in Daily Challenge races, twisted and random crusades that change and change every 24 hours. For those who feel social, Twitch’s built-in features allow viewers of the live broadcast to impact the action, deciding the effects of the status of popular vote battles.
