The giants agree with the terms of the DE Ifeadi Odenigbo

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The giants and the defensive side Ifeadi Odenigbo have agreed to a one-year contract, pending a physical examination, according to several reports.

Odenigbo, 6-3 and 258 pounds, played in his first three NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, who chose him in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He did not play his first game until 2018 with Arizona. He returned to the Vikings in 2019, when he recorded his first career serve – a 12-yard drop from Daniel Jones.

In Minnesota, Odenigbo played 32 games with 15 matches and recorded 59 tackles (34 solo), 10.5 sacks, 28 quarterback strikes, 10 losing tackles, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Last season, Odenigbo started all 15 games in which he played and had a career record of 35 tackles (16 solo) and 3.5 sacks. He played in all 16 games of the previous season, when he recorded the best 7.0 sacks of his career.

Odenigbo, who turns 27 on April 8, played college football at Northwestern.
