The giants agree with the terms of former Washington OLB Ryan Anderson

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The Giants and external linebacker Ryan Anderson have reached a contract agreement, awaiting a physical examination, according to several reports.

Anderson, 6-2 and 255 pounds, played his first four seasons in the NFL with the Washington Football Team. He played in 52 games with four matches and his career totals include 78 tackles (49 solo), seven tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, 15 quarterback strokes, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.

In 2020, Anderson played nine games. He made seven tackles (four solo), including one for a defeat. In the previous season, Anderson played in all 16 games, with four games as a weak side linebacker. He posted a total of 43 tackles (29 solo), 4.0 sacks, nine quarterback strikes and five forced fumbles.

Anderson was a second-round selection (49th overall choice) in the 2017 Alabama NFL Draft.
