In 2020, Rudolph played the first 12 games before losing the last four matches with a foot injury that resulted in him being placed on reserve due to injury on 29 December. He ended the season with 28 receptions for 334 yards and a touchdown. Rudolph had the highest total of seven receptions for 68 yards against Carolina on 29 November. He picked up four passes for 63 yards in a game on Monday night in Chicago on November 16. Most notable was the fact that after his first reception in the opening series of the game, he fumbled to be approached by linebacker Danny Trevathan. When safety Tashaun Gipson recovered the ball, Rudolph had the only missed fumble in his 146-game career.
From 2015-19, Rudolph started all 65 Vikings regular and post-season games. His best year was 2016, when he finished with a record of tight Vikings results for 83 receptions for a career record of 840 yards and seven touchdowns. The following year, he was selected for the Pro Bowl after scoring the best of his career with eight touchdowns and receiving 57 passes for 532 yards.
Off the field, Rudolph was named the Vikings’ man of the year Walter Payton for all 2017-19 seasons and was the team’s man of the year for each of those seasons.
The Vikings selected Rudolph in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft, No. 43 overall, from Notre Dame. In three seasons with Fighting Irish, the Cincinnati native managed 90 passes for 1,032 yards and eight touchdowns, including a 95 yard against Cincinnati in 2010.
