There is an old saying that I have always hated: “A picture is worth a thousand words”. As someone who makes a living writing, often with minimum and / or maximum of strict words, I can tell you, through years of experience, that the maxim is rubbish. Some photos are hardly worth talking about. Others can fill volumes. But on rare occasions, a picture can be worth an infinite number of words, and yet none of them can do justice to what you are seeing. And the ridiculous photos for this bizarre / slightly disturbing Pokémon Pillow / bed / nightmare Gengar with a super long tongue is definitely one of those occasions.

I know. You thought I was overreacting. It’s understandable. There was no way you could have predicted about a series of photos of a man in a suit doing what the hell he is doing here. But, ultimately, there doesn’t seem to be any wrong way – or right way – to use this Gengar “which absolutely wants to be licked”. Yes, this is the royal official slogan for this Bandai item.

Made entirely of polyester, the body of this peculiar Pokémon the product is approximately 19 inches tall, 21.5 inches wide and 21 inches deep. Clearly, the perfect size to stick your head in when Max Bialystock is cruel to you on opening night. Of course, it is the six-foot-five tongue that is the real star of this Gengar. You can lie on it. Get involved with this. Use it as a pillow or blanket. Or really whatever you want, as long as you keep your personal affairs to yourself. We cannot imagine what else you can do with this. And we definitely don’t want to know when you’ll find out.

Designed for over 15s (LOL), this weird item is available for pre-order now. It is sold for 25,950 yen (tax included). That’s about $ 250 in America. The launch is scheduled for June 2021.
Which is definitely not enough time for me to find all the words I need to describe these images. Because sometimes a picture is worth all the words, but none of them are right.
