Over the years, we’ve seen a plethora of collectible card games come and go. Although one thing remains a constant, the genre adapts well to mobile games. To this day, there is no shortage of CCGs in the Play Store, but there has always been a missing title, Magic: The Gathering. Well, Wizards of the Coast has been busy working on its digital adaptation for some time, and it’s called MTG Arena. It is known that the title would end up reaching mobile devices, but we just learned that the CCG will arrive on Android as an early access version on January 28, with broader support expected later this year.

Wizards of the Coast recently published a blog post on the official MTG Arena website to announce that the game will finally be available for Android later this month (January 28). It will exist as an initial access version for a selection of supported Android devices. These devices will need to be on Android 6.0 or later, contain at least 4 GB of RAM, all with support for OpenGL ES 3.0 or higher. So far, we know that devices that contain anything above the Kirin 970, Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 processors should be able to run the title. And if you’re looking for a list of recommended phones, Wizards has put together a modest list, which you can find below.
