Limited Run Games announced three boxed versions of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch last week, and pre-orders started on Friday.
The time-limited physical editions – which are available for pre-ordering for six weeks from January 15th – include a standard Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World: The Game for $ 35, a classic edition for $ 55 and the KO edition for $ 140. The standard edition includes the standard game and DLC, while the Classic Edition includes a colorful instruction booklet, luxury plastic box with a reversible cover, sticker sheet with game art, physical soundtrack CD with music by Anamanaguchi, The Clash in Demonhead concert ticket and a map of Overworld.
The KO Edition includes everything listed above, plus a “premium hard-shell road collector’s box with lights and sound. Opening the box turns on the lights and sound (music by Anamanaguchi), in addition to revealing a scene Bob-omb Sex pop-up “. It also includes bonus Sex Bob-omb guitar picks, an enamel pin and full-size wooden drumsticks with “game art”.
If you’re interested, there’s still time. Limited racing games are shipped worldwide and customs fees are included in the final price for UK customers.
In related news, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition – released on January 14, 2021 – includes the remastering of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game and its original DLCs: the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells add-on packages. It is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.
The 2D arcade-style beat ’em-up – which was originally digitally released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in August 2010 before being removed in December 2014 – is inspired by the comic book series by Bryan Lee O’Malley and the film by Edgar Wright on the same name. You can play as Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Knives Chau, Stephen Stills and more.
