The Galaxy S21 is still selling like crazy in the US, tripling the numbers of the S20

The Galaxy S21 series does not show many signs of slowing down in Samsung’s main markets. According to the latest industry insights, the flagship family has tripled first month sales of the Galaxy S20 line in the United States – still the largest smartphone market in the world.

It is true that a direct comparison with the 2020 devices may not be as clear as it looks. In large part thanks to Samsung’s better willingness to cut prices on Galaxy S21 series flagships long before its predecessors had the same privilege.

How long can Samsung maintain this?

That’s all according to Strategy Analytics, whose latest report also estimates that the Galaxy S21 Ultra has so far accounted for more than 40% of the line’s sales in the United States. Which is nothing less than an incredible percentage, given the price difference between the three models. Ultimately, the only smartphone that Samsung really wants to sell year after year is the most expensive, without popcorn.

Looking at the bigger picture, while many of Samsung’s fiercest mobile rivalries have occurred on the other side of the world in recent years, the U.S. will continue to be a key battleground for all major smartphone manufacturers as long as profit margins are driven in consideration. Given the huge effort that has been made to launch the new Galaxy A devices, not to mention the already abundant rumors about the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition, it seems that Samsung will be able to maintain that momentum for at least a little longer. That is the idea, at least.
