Call of Duty players have been having trouble trying to use Double XP tokens in the Cold War Black Ops. Many of them turned to Reddit to pinpoint the problems and are demanding major changes from Activision.
Warzone’s integration with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War brought a plethora of exciting content to players. There are new weapons that you can unlock, as well as a playable operator in the first season. In addition, Activision also recently hosted a series of Double XP events for both titles.

Many fans have been experiencing issues with Double XP tokens for a year. The biggest complaint is that it takes forever to find a match when using them, which makes the tokens seem like an unnecessary annoyance.
The Reddit u / Tritonpr95x user posted a post about this issue on the Black Ops Cold War subreddit. The player stated that it is irritating to waste time looking for matches in tokens and that it takes too long to find a game.

Many other players in the comments shared that sentiment. They agreed that tokens should be “timed in game” and that they should work like those in Infinite Warfare, where you have a good game and then double your XP.
There is a warning in the game recognizing this issue so that developers and Activision are aware that this issue is affecting players. Despite the many posts that have been made on this subject, they have not yet announced that they plan to fix it soon.
Some of the comments pointed to the 15-minute XP tokens as being particularly problematic. One of u / Darkestneon criticized that you only win one per game, and then you end up spending a lot of that time waiting in the lobby.

You can activate old double XP Tokens
The best way to get around the problem is to get a lobby and activate the tokens one second before the map starts to load. In addition, as another user has pointed out, you can activate your old Warzone tokens and then jump into the Cold War to reap the benefits of the Double XP you have accumulated.
