The free LastPass plan will make you choose between your computer and your phone

Again, you will have to pay for LastPass if you plan to use it on all of your devices. Since March 16, the company has been limiting LastPass Free to one type of device. You can use it on all your computers or mobile devices, but not both at the same time. Your first login on or after that date will determine your choice of platform, although you have three chances to switch device types if you have questions.

LastPass emphasized that you will not lose access to anything stored in your safe, but added that email support will be limited to Premium members and Families from 17 May onwards.

Not surprisingly, the company is discounting Premium subscriptions for $ 2.25 a month ($ 27 a year) against its normal $ 3 to encourage updates.

We asked LastPass if it can work out the reasoning behind the change. At first glance, however, it appears to be a simple matter of increasing the number of subscriptions. While there were incentives to use paid accounts before, such as storing encrypted files and monitoring the dark web, it was relatively easy to survive on the free service. This gives you a clear update on motivation, even if only limiting something you may have considered right.
