The Ford Raptor 2021 looks amazing

Truck yesTrucks are good!

The revelation of 2021 Ford Raptor made me realize that the ads and videos of American pickups are usually filmed and edited almost exactly like a horror movie. This clip of the new off-road pickup tearing up clouds of dust and rising as its roaring 3.5-liter V6 is as intimidating as most horror films.

Imagine yourself lost in the desert. First you hear the exhaust, then more of the mixed engine, but all you see is a cloud. Make no mistake, you’re not watching Tremors 6, or whatever sequence they are in now. Instead, you’re being teased by the terrifying round of a few egg heads kicking the planet in your Ford Raptor 2021.

Ford also announced that the new generation of Raptor will receive a production V8 engine next year, in a model dubbed Raptor R. While we wait for it, an updated version of the twin-engine 3.5-liter V6 nested in the current truck will continue. to be sold later this year in the new model as well.

In the starter truck, the V6 engine produces 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft. of torque, although the updated power numbers for the V6 of model year 2021 and the V8 of next year will be announced at a later date. Ford announced that the truck features what is currently the largest production tire option available on the pickup market, sporting custom-made 37-inch BF Goodrich rubber if you pay for it.

The new truck also features a completely redesigned rear suspension configuration with five-link suspension instead of the old leaf springs, improving wheel displacement measures and handling characteristics, and Ford still claims that the new configuration helps to reduce the power. It seems that everything is working well in the video.

Say it couldn’t be a horror movie? A little bit of music and maybe some flashbacks of all those crooked-frame Raptor trucks that didn’t make the leap, and we’re in the business.
