Almost exactly a year after production was forced to stop due to the global coronavirus outbreak, The Flash is officially back on our screens, and tonight’s premiere proved to be a very hectic hour when Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his team set a dangerous plan in motion to make the Artificial Speed Force work, resulting in Nash (Tom Cavanagh) making the final sacrifice.
Now, while things are bleak for all Wells, showrunner Eric Wallace has confirmed TV line that Cavanagh is not leaving the series.
“Tom Cavanagh fans, you should continue watching this show. ‘Just because someone is dead does not mean that there is not much else to do.“
Next week’s edition will begin almost immediately after the events of tonight’s premiere, with us learning more about the fate of Iris (Candice Patton) ‘s email. Elsewhere, it looks like Barry will be gaining a new superpower – quick thinking – that will undoubtedly prove to be extremely useful as he tries to rescue his wife from MirrorVerse.

Barry Allen lived a normal life as a perpetually late CSI at the Central City Police Department.
