The first pile voted by the World Of Warcraft player is a big tree that you can get for free

Last year Blizzard held a vote to determine what kind of tour World of Warcraft loved players as a special community montage. We chose the Wandering Elder, and now that choice has borne fruit, or, in this case, an entire tree, free now for all who have the Shadowlands expansion.

The Wandering Elder is an old wise tree that slowly creeps through various lands of Azeroth since the game’s release. It is an iconic beast, which is why it beat competitors like a slimy cat and a colorful caterpillar in last year’s fan poll. Now the bark-covered beast is in the game, available for free on any owner’s assembly guide Shadowlands, as well as anyone purchasing the expansion in the future.

The cool thing about the Wandering Elder, in addition to its enormous size, is that its leaves change color with the seasons, giving players a reason to break it all year round. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fly, but it makes sense. If the trees could fly, there would be none on the ground.

My favorite feature of the Wandering Elder, however, is the caterpillar behind my character, a nod to the community mount that could have been.
