Three weeks ago, a sexual assault case was filed against Texas quarterback Deshaun Watson. On Tuesday, the claimant – who had previously sued under the pseudonym Jane Doe – revealed her identity and spoke to the media.
At a press conference convened by attorney Tony Buzbee, Ashley Solis attended and made a statement regarding her interactions with Watson.
“I am here to regain power and regain control,” said Solis. “I am a survivor of aggression and harassment.”
She said Watson assaulted and harassed her on March 30, 2020 “in my own home, doing what I love most, massage therapy”.
“Some days I feel like a hero, other days I feel like a failure,” she explained, adding that she repeats the interaction over and over in her head.
“I can no longer practice the profession I love the most without my hands shaking during the session,” she said. “I started doing massage therapy to heal people. To heal their minds and bodies. To bring peace to your souls. Deshaun Watson stole this from me. “
She said she suffered panic attacks, anxiety, depression.
“We were all deceived into thinking that Deshaun Watson was a good guy and, unfortunately, we know that good guys can do terrible things,” said Solis.
“People say I’m doing this for the money,” she added. “This is false. I come now so that Deshaun Watson does not attack another woman. “
Buzbee said that Solis had spoken to the Houston Police Department and that at least one other person, too.
