On January 28, Fenyx Rising ‘Immortalss first DLC, A new god, It was released. After the events of the original end of the main game, A new god is a unique expansion and epilogue that Immortals fans may enjoy, but only if you really need more puzzles.

Also spoiler warning: I will talk about the end of Immortals a little. Just a warning.

A new god is set directly after the end of Immortals, after the main character, Fenyx, discovers that she is the daughter of Zeus and defeats the great evil Typhon with the help of the gods. With his cosmic lineage and after all she achieved in the main game, Zeus decided to let her try to become a full member of the pantheon of the gods, alongside people like Athens and Zeus himself. But this is also a video game, so first, she needs to complete a lot of tasks. I know. Super shocking.

This is the main configuration of the A new god, which is a great way to deal with a defined DLC after the main events of the game. However, really playing A new god I don’t feel like I’m continuing my Fenyx story. That’s because you first need to boot a separate game, essentially, from the main menu. After doing this, you play A new god not like your Fenyx, with its powers and weapons, but like a generic Fenyx with all its powers, statistics and equipment at most and all its armor and weapons missing. And none of the cool equipment you can get in the DLC can be brought back to the main Immortals games. All of this made it very difficult for me to worry about what was going on A new god because it seemed so disconnected from my Fenyx and its history.

It doesn’t really matter anyway, because there’s not much going on A new God. What if Immortals was a super-condensed version of Ubisoft’s open-world formula, this first DLC is an even more simplified version of that already condensed approach. All your equipment is almost at the limit, there is very little in the way of parallel activities or activities and the open world consists mainly of some temples and a central area floating in the sky. There is also much less dialogue and narration, but for people who have found humor in Immortals be annoying and annoying, it can be a blessing. Personally, I missed the fight between Zeus and Prometheus as I explored.

Most of A new god it’s puzzles. Many puzzles. Some of them are much more difficult than the main game puzzles, so if you haven’t already played Immortals since it was released, you may be perplexed. Many of these new puzzles use the new double jump ability that you quickly unlock, as well as a series of new elements, such as magnets and electrical circuits. Although I enjoyed completing many of them, I haven’t finished the DLC yet because I just don’t know how many more puzzle dungeons I want to do. The main game was already filled to the brim with these rooms and, like many other players, I haven’t done them all yet. So putting a whole lot of new puzzle rooms on my lap is not very exciting.

From the announced DLC to Immortals, A new god always seemed the most boring and skippable. It’s not bad and for those of you who didn’t get tired of the main game puzzles and who wanted to see what happens after the credits entered Immortals, this DLC is exactly what you wanted.

However, if you don’t love Immortals or I felt burnt at the end, I suggest skipping A new god and finish all the puzzles that you probably haven’t yet completed in the original game.
