You don’t need to buy a Samsung Galaxy S21 to get some of the new features offered by the phone, since several of them are coming to older Samsung devices with One UI 3.1, which has started to be implemented in some devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 range, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 range, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip are all getting these features, which include enhanced single capture – a feature that allows you to capture a variety of photos and videos with one touch.
Other features that come with the update include Object Eraser, which allows you to remove unwanted elements from photos, and Multi Mic Recording, which allows you to use the phone’s microphone and an external Bluetooth microphone at the same time to record audio.
Camera, audio, privacy and more
Then there’s Private Share, a feature that lets you send files to people with an expiration date – after which they will be deleted, and Eye Comfort Shield, which automatically adjusts the amount of blue light your phone produces based on time. during the day.
Other features coming as part of the One UI 3.1 update include enhanced touch autofocus and auto-exposure controls for the camera and an updated Gallery app, which is designed to group photos and videos into an easy-to-navigate feed.
Finally, there is an auto switch feature, which allows you to seamlessly switch between Galaxy devices when listening to audio whether using Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live or Buds Plus.
So this is a pretty significant update, and if you have a phone set up to get it, you shouldn’t have to wait long. Samsung has already started the launch, but has not confirmed which regions are receiving first, so stay tuned for that in the coming days.
That said, the announcement can be seen in Samsung’s newsroom in the U.S., so presumably the U.S. will be one of the first places in line.
