The family of the late rapper Iron chooses not to request an autopsy

On January 26, a funeral home dedicated to the late rapper Iron (Jung Heon Chul, 29) opened at Seoul National Medical Center. The rapper’s family and close acquaintances mourned the rapper’s death in particular.

Iron, which drew attention after appearing as a competitor in Mnet‘s’Show me the money 3‘, died on January 25. At approximately 10:25 am on this day, a security guard discovered Iron unconscious and bloody on a flower bed near a Jong-go-Seoul apartment complex. He was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital.

Now, an older sister ‘AN‘of Iron decided to speak to the press, due to the countless reporters who visited the funeral home and reported the death of the rapper. Iron’s older sister stated, “Our family had no intention of asking for an autopsy. The body has already been placed in the coffin. I am upset to see the reports, saying that the police will decide whether to do the autopsy or not after conferring with family members.”

‘A’ additionally added, “Heon Chul had been in regular contact with his family until recently. He had a tendency to be a perfectionist and was stressed about music, but he had no health problems.”

Finally, ‘A’ also shared that an ex-Iron pupil, who previously called the police after Iron beat him with a baseball bat in December 2020, came to offer his condolences on that day. “There are misunderstandings regarding this controversy. The pupil came to present his condolences today. He is not getting along with our family. Please avoid any speculation.”

Meanwhile, the late rapper will be buried later this week, on January 28.
