The entire Capitals bank embraced Zdeno Chara after he scored his first goal as a Capital

When Washington Capitals left for the second period, they were losing 3-0. When they left the ice for the second break, they were 5-3 after creating an insane comeback.

Zdeno Chara scored the final goal of the period – his first as Capital – after hitting a corner kick and defeating the oppressed Semyon Varlamov.

What happened next was the best moment of the 2020-21 season in the capitals so far.

Chara was surrounded by literally all of his teammates on the bench, setting off an insane team celebration.

SO MUCH ENERGY OF FATHER.

The goal was Chara’s 659th point in his career in his 1,561th NHL game. Early in the period, Chara provided the main assist in Conor Sheary’s second goal of the game.

All right, Big Z! Keep hammering from the beginning, young man.
