The new season of the show was announced over the weekend and included a trailer showing some new looks for the season and the return of the voice cast.
The devil is a timer! follows Satan himself after he was almost defeated in his own world and has to flee to modern Tokyo. To survive and eventually find his way back to his own world, the devil takes on a human identity and gets a job at MgRonald’s, a fast food restaurant. Of course, being the demon king didn’t prepare him very well for the food service, so the hilarity ensued.
The first season of the anime was originally released in 2013, but did not gain many followers. However, in the following years, the show gained a cult following. This is especially true in the United States, where the show had a long showing on Netflix, similar to the first season of One punch man, before the streaming service made anime on its own.
Although the trailer showed part of the cast back for the new season, it is unclear which studio will handle the animation. The original season was controlled by White Fox, but there is no confirmation as to whether it will return in season two or if it was handed over to another studio.
Another thing that The devil is a timer! The second season is missing and is a release date, but after eight long years of waiting, it is exciting to know that the series will return soon. If you want to follow the show’s first season, it’s streaming on Netflix until March 31.
