The Destiny 2 season is ending, don’t forget to do these five things first

It’s just over a week before Destiny 2’s Season of the Hunt comes to an end. This season is a little different from the previous ones, as Bungie is now trying to reduce “FOMO”, the fear of losing, by allowing a lot of seasonal things to be carried throughout the year. In this case, that includes things like Wrathborn Hunts, so there is no rush to cultivate these weapons and stories like the Crow / Hawkmoon mission, including the new secret mission, Harbinger, which will not go away.

And yet, some things is leaving, and I wanted to make a brief post detailing exactly what you should remember to do before the season ends on February 9th.

1. Deliver Crucible Tokens

Bungie made that very clear with in-game and out-of-game ads. The Crucible tokens are leaving and you will need to deliver them all in Shaxx, whether you have 200 or 20,000, before the season is over, so as not to lose them and all the equipment / materials they could become. It’s not a terribly fun process, but it’s just a waste if you don’t do it for the fragments, cores and the occasional good roll (very, very occasional). Gambit is switching to the same Crucible system, but that mode never had tokens in the first place. The Vanguard go become this system eventually, but not next season, so no, you don’t Tue to deliver your Vanguard tokens now. Not pieces of weapons in Banshee, as I heard some people ask.

2. Claim high statistic season pass armor

If you paid for the season, be sure to claim your set of 60+ Wild Hunt armor stat which is between levels 37 and 57 in the pass, which I assume you have achieved at this point. I usually forget about this until the last minute, as I’m already wearing the armor from previous seasons, but it’s always a solid set that will have the peak of the current highest sunset so you don’t want to miss it. There are two other sets of lower stats that you can get for any of the materials, or they will be reduced in level if you need to fill the gap for a power upgrade.

3. Spend all the protected destination materials you can

I think people forgot about it, but according to Bungie, this is the last season that things will be on sale for vaulted destination materials. As such, you should go to Spider or Banshee to buy what you can for Titan, Io, Mercury or Mars materials, as they are about to become useless. As you can see, I didn’t do a perfect job on this above, but I tried to be aware of it this season. It is RNG for what you can buy on a given day, so you may be physically unable to do it in time, but it is worth a try.

4. Buy the Drifter God Roll rocket launcher

Sure, he may have it next season, but you never know. With the Rocket Launcher’s buff, a 1360 power cap Bad Omens with tracking and collective bombs can be useful, and it’s something you can pick up without having to traverse layers of RNG farming.

5. Deliver all completed weekly rewards

If you’re like me, you probably save some amount of rewards to get some easy, starting levels when the next season starts, but this time, with the weekly rewards going away next season, you can’t save them. Bungie has warned players to deliver them before the end of the season or you will lose any reward from them. There’s no point in holding them this time.

Those are the main things I can think of now. If something else comes to mind, I will add it later.
